About the Art

This was the first painting (and the only one until now) that I tried my hand at pouring! I used many of my favorite colors (including metallic gold) and poured them on the canvas. It was literally an experiment as I did not research how to create such a piece beforehand. 

I realized I hadn't used enough paint (or simply did not dilute it so it was too thick), and what did I do to spread the paint....?

Well, I went in with my hands and had so much fun once I gave up the preconceived idea I had for it! I kept playing in the paint with my fingers until it gave what you see here.

I brought it to my first exhibition (for fun, no expectations of selling), and it's one of the only pieces of art that sold that day!

I will definitely make more in the future.
